Welcome to The Henson, and the Catskills! We are delighted that you’ve chosen to spend your time with us. There is something so special about this part of the world. It is completely unassuming and unimaginably beautiful. Over the last few centuries explorers have come, and settlers. Farmers and businesspeople, outdoorsmen and anglers. They all found unique challenges - the landscape being too hilly to settle, the ground too rocky to farm, the people too smart and stubborn to sell snake oil to, the mountains too arduous to conquer.

But there are travelers who came from afar and saw home. There are real salt-of-the-earth people that dreamed up what this place could be and built a wonderful life.

We proudly count ourselves among them.

It seems everyone has come looking for something. You have too, ya know? The air breathes of an earlier time. There’s a specificity in the way the clouds form and the rain falls and the snow flutters. Foreign and familiar all the same.

There's hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, mountain fresh air, and dark, starry nights.

This is an inn, and you can treat it as such. There are comfy beds and hot showers, wonderful food, and exceptional service. It’s a great place to spend some time. But if you really let go, and give in to the energy of a space created with love, this will feel like home.
